Yesterday we woke up..earrrly in the morning from our lovely friends in West Seattle’s to catch a cab to the airport..
It was maybe the quickest flight I’ve ever been on.
Oh so satisfying..Spokane– the ultimate romantic get-a-way! We got this pillowy view of clouds and shrouded mountain from the plane..gorg. 😉
We landed in Spokane and called the hotel shuttle..this is such a bonus of staying in a nicer hotel. Loving the shuttle.
I seem to think it’s ok to take photos in bathrooms while travelling. Here I am celebrating the big 5. It’s like..ooooh document the transition. I don’t know man, I don’t know.. We were up at 6….and this is in Spokane about 9am.
When we checked into the hotel we got and UPPPPPgrade to the top floor corner suite! It’s massive! With a huge living room, fire-place, balcony over the river, two t.v.’s, bar, table…
We ventured off for a morning walk..across the footbridge, through the river front park, downtown..
Finally cozied into a little Mexican deli in the ghost town of downtown’s old buildings with some fresh corn tortillas, rice, beans, and lots of cilantro and lime.
(To rest up for the seriously sexy sold-out hockey adventure of the nighttime.)
Not even kidding you…these kids were FAST and SKILLED on the ice..we were thoroughly impressed.
(I felt like a bona-fide cougar however..like the Spokane mamas we checked out in the hotel bar before heading to the game. 🙂 The players were born in the freaking 90s! Sweet and tough baby-faced boys from Austria, Canada, etc.
It was 1-1 and the home team made a perfect goal on our end near the end of the game! Exciting stuff..even with all that padding..Carrie Underwood..I get it now. 🙂 (She’s engaged to a hockey player, no?)
