Where am I, and what happened? The past few months have been a blur…
I got to travel to some incredible photography studios in NYC, observe some fantastic photographers, was reminded how challenging posing is (What sexy eyes? How angular leg? When passion from within? You’re crazy!) on the other side of the camera, edit thousands of weddings photos, attend beautiful ceremonies, cry with friends and sisters, dance until 5am, complete my Nia Technique White Belt Intensive, become a regular at the Harlem rec center, play volleyball in a gigantic empty swimming pool in the city, and grow, retract, and learn a few hard lessons.
Keeps on, doesn’t it?
Among other things. 😉
Valhalla afterhours in the theater district...
Isan, my oldest friend, appeared in SoHo out of nowhere..a lovely day of gallery hopping and thrift store shopping
Three best girlfriends came to visit for one of the most amazing reunions of all time. We all live achingly far away from each other at this moment..so Brooklyn Bridge walking, dancing, champagne, Thai food, and talking. Swoon.
Halloween day a photographer hired me as a bride to shoot a graffiti trash the dress editorial on location- 5 Pointz in Queens. Cold and amazing.
They even hired me a groom!
The curly hair was surprisingly embraced
I got to live with these beautiful faces
Dance in amazing spaces..
To feel like someone else..
To come home for a wedding...
To be in Florida, on gorgeous Cocoa Beach, on the coldest day EVER.
Home for Kai AND Keston's birthdays...amazing.
Now near family again. Such a (complex) treat. Like Mom's homemade pho. YUM.
Senna and Luke even came up for Christmas!
So for now, we'll leave it with a bonfire..to burn away to a fresh new year. Happy 2011!
