I realize wedding season is a flurry.
But oh man do I love looking through the happy moments and crying later.
Last morning in Portland this time round…
Mama Jes rests, Em pulls out her Greek Islands travel book to prepare for her 5 week hiatus (being kicked off with a huge Greek wedding in Athens), and MaryEllen talks about her year in Europe, and months in Greece in ’76. Oh Little Mochi your amazing Grandma has had some amazing adventures.
Meeting a rich bored baroness, famous artists, sail boat hopping, and dancing on yachts, tours of the BMW factory from men in three piece suits, Moet Chandon Champagne our everyday in Geneva at 4pm, dancing in party frocks with the British Naval Officers…so much inspiration!
Ahhh Greek Islands…can’t you just imagine gorgeous Em there?
Being in newborn baby haze is giving me a great opportunity to edit passing moments caught on camera, amidst snuggles, helping with meals, and discussing lactation.
Loving catching up on the pleasure projects.
Then perfect timing to gear up for two lovely weddings back in Washington next week!
I mean…what’s a girl to do??!! 😉
I had the honor of witnessing my second birth (well third if you count Kai’s when I was 2 and a half) this week. Thursday.
8.11.11 to be exact.
My best girl friend.
Jon, Jessy, and Mariella “Mochi” Grace are now a gorgeous family. Grandma Emme and I are here to help (and me to also document).
I also got to watch this little babe bundle of (TEN AND A HALF POUNDS) of miraculous joy being born.
